Volunteer

North Clackamas Parks and Recreation District (NCPRD) offers more than 140 different volunteer positions throughout the District including at the Milwaukie Community Center, North Clackamas Aquatic Park, the District office, and dozens of outdoor park locations. Whether you’re looking to gain experience or give back to the community, we offer special training and flexible hours for a wide variety of volunteer opportunities. Volunteers are valued for their time, their devotion and for their creative ideas.


NATURAL AREAS
Become a park steward! Volunteers help keep our parks healthy, clean and beautiful. Volunteer events include planting native plants, removing invasive species, litter cleanup, and trail repair and maintenance. Submit the volunteer application.

  • Boardman Wetlands Restoration
    17908 S.E. Addie St., Milwaukie, OR 97267
    Saturday, May 25, 2024 – from 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
    Join NCPRD and the celebrity ducks at Boardman Wetlands Nature Park for this volunteer clean-up event. Help remove trash and debris to keep the wetlands healthy and protect wildlife. All you need to bring are waterproof boots!
  • Rivervilla Park Restoration
    Rivervilla Park, 925 S.E. Courtney Ave., Milwaukie
    Saturday, April 27, 2024 – from 10:00 a.m. – noon.
    Join NCPRD at Rivervilla Park to pull ivy and other invasive plants, and pick up trash and debris. Help keep this waterfront park beautiful and healthy!

MILWAUKIE COMMUNITY CENTER
The Milwaukie Community Center offers many different opportunities for you to share your skills – everything from Meals on Wheels deliveries to front desk support to chopping wood. There is currently a need for Meals on Wheels drivers and holiday event support. Find the perfect position for your interests and make a difference in your community.
