    Healthy Aging Seminar: Steps You Can Take to Prevent Diabetes

    Tuesday, Feb. 14, 1-3 p.m.

    Janet Meirelles R.N., Certified Diabetes Educator, will present new strategies and vital information on diabetes prevention. Individuals who have been diagnosed with ‘pre-diabetes’ will benefit along with their family members. There is no fee for this event.     Home Services Vendor Fair with Prudential HomeServices

    Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2-3:30 p.m.

    Join us for refreshments and a chance to win some fabulous door prizes while learning about Prudential HomeServices. Milwaukie Center partners with Prudential HomeServices to give you quality companies that provide services to keep your home safe and in good repair.

    Garden Discovery Day

    Saturday, Feb. 25, 9 a.m.-noon

    Want to jump-start your gardening season? From 9 a.m. to noon, the Oregon State University Extension Master Gardeners of Clackamas County will test your soil pH, offer 10-Minute University classes, and provide fun, hands-on children’s activities. If you have gardening questions not covered by classes, seasoned Master Gardeners will provide personalized advice.

    Rose Pruning Demonstration

    Saturday, Feb. 25, Noon-1 p.m., Oregon Grape Room

    Rich Baer, Portland Rose Society, willpresent a fun and informative talk and slide show on how to care for your roses. The presentation will be followed by a hands-on demonstration in the Sara Hite Memorial Rose Garden. Even if you only have one rose bush, you will not want to miss this event.

    Healthy Aging Seminar: Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Receiving Veterans Benefits

    Tuesday, Feb 28, 10:30-11:30 a.m.

    Spaghetti Dinner and Texas Hold’em Tournament

    Saturday, Mar. 10, 4-7 p.m.

    Dinner: $6 adults, $3 Children under 12, Tournament: $50 Buy-in

    This popular event features our famous spaghetti sauce, entertainment, friends and fun. Wine and Italian Sodas will be available for purchase. Pre-registration is required for the tournament.
