Positions Open on NCPRD Advisory Board

The Clackamas County Board of Commissioners is seeking interested residents to serve on county Advisory Boards and Commissions (ABCs). ABCs offer residents the opportunity to become involved in specific activities and the goals of Clackamas County.

This week there are new openings on one advisory committee, as follows.

  • North Clackamas Parks and Recreation District Advisory Committee: The Clackamas County Board of Commissioners, acting as the governing body of the North Clackamas Parks and Recreation District (NCPRD), is seeking interested volunteers to serve on the NCPRD District Advisory Board (DAB).

DAB members advise the Clackamas County Commission on the design, planning, development and operation of parks within NCPRD boundaries. The DAB is scheduled to meet the second Wednesday of every month at 5 p.m., and also to meet with Board of County Commissioners twice a year.

NCPRD residents who are dedicated and committed to parks and recreation services are encouraged to apply. There are five positions to be filled at this time from incorporated and unincorporated areas west of  I-205 that are within NCPRD boundaries.

NCPRD history and background information can be found on the NCPRD website at www.ncprd.com.

The deadline for applications is August 31. For more information, please contact Scott Archer, NCPRD Director, at SArcher@ncprd.com  or 503-742-4421.
