The Milwaukie Center is the largest independent Meals On Wheels provider in the Portland Metropolitan area. Over 250 meals are served per day to homebound older adults and people with disabilities in North Clackamas. Proceeds from Clackamas On Tap and Uncorked help support the Meals On Wheels program and fill a funding gap which is only partially covered by federal funding.
The Friends of the Milwaukie Center, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is the fundraising arm of the Center. With the cancellation of all in-person fundraisers due to Covid-19, this virtual event is helping to keep these essential programs going.
