Sara Hite Memorial Rose Garden
Planned and built by the Friends of the Milwaukie Center over a 10 year period, the Sara Hite Memorial Rose Garden is a premier garden featuring over 450 rose bushes, brick walkways, seating benches, a 3,000 square foot plaza and a 800 sq ft Gazebo. The Rose Garden is adjacent to the Milwaukie Center and is available for rental through the year. It is an excellent venue for weddings, cultural events and other events.
The Friends Rose Garden Committee help support the Garden in a variety of ways.
Engraved bricks are placed in the Sara Hite Memorial Rose Garden once a year. Proceeds benefit the continued maintenance of the garden. Buy a brick to honor someone or as a memorial. Bricks sell for $35 a piece or 3 for $100. The Rose Garden Committee also holds a quilt raffle each fall to help support their labor of love.
