NCPRD honored with financial reporting award

A Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting has been awarded to the North Clackamas Parks and Recreation District (NCPRD) by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for its comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR) for fiscal year 2015/16.

The certificate is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management. This is the twenty-second consecutive year NCPRD has received the award.

“NCPRD is fortunate to have an excellent finance staff team, led by Business Operations Director Laura Zentner, whose dedication to accurate and thorough financial reporting made this award possible,” said NCPRD Director Scott Archer. “I also want to thank the Board of County Commissioners and our District Advisory Board for their support and guidance in upholding standards for consistency and transparency.”

The report has been judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, including demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate others to read it.

The GFOA is a nonprofit professional association serving approximately 17,500 government finance professionals. The organization has offices in Chicago and Washington, D.C.

NCPRD is a service district of Clackamas County dedicated to providing exceptional parks and recreation programs, facilities and services.
