Keep your kids moving and having fun this season! NCPRD offers a wide variety of enriching programs designed to spark creativity, promote physical activity and teach lifelong skills. Our programs provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for kids of all ages.
REGISTRATION
Summer registration for in-district residents opens on April 1 at noon, and for non-residents on April 8 at noon. Register online.
Junior Vegan Chefs: Cook a Family Dinner! Ages 8-12. In this hands-on cooking class, kids will learn how to make a simple family-friendly vegan meal—all on their own hotplates! Plus, a no-bake, kid-approved dessert! Kids will bring home easy-to-follow recipes so they can recreate this meal for their families! See schedule and register.
Little Dancers Ballet & Jazz Ages 5-7. This coed class provides the perfect foundation for any little dancer. Explore movement in a fun and welcoming environment, while learning classroom etiquette, ballet positions, creative movement, and basic across-the-floor combinations. See schedule and register.
Melodies in Motion: Yoga, Songs, and Movement Ages 3-5. Introduce your child to movement and music! This fun, energetic class is designed to engage the body and mind. Combines playful music, lively movement activities, and simple animal yoga poses. Each session encourages creativity, coordination, and relaxation through song-based games, rhythmic exercises, and gentle stretches. See schedule and register.
Tiny Tots Pre-Ballet Ages 3-4. This coed class provides an introduction to ballet. Dancers will learn body awareness, rhythm, classroom technique, ballet positions and free movement. Parents are welcome to watch the last five minutes of class. See schedule and register.
Preschool Sing-A-Long Ages 1-5. Explore rhythms and notes through singing during this 30-minute drop-in group. Bond with your preschooler while learning new songs and meeting other kids. Enjoy milk and cookies afterward in Pete’s Cafe. Please bring cash for this drop-in program. See schedule.

Beginner Basketball
Grades K-2 (coed). Improve ball handling, passing and shooting. Staff will lead players through drills and games to continue to build upon basketball skills and rules of the game. See schedules and register. See schedule and register.
Spring Basketball Clinic
Grades 3-6 (coed). Hit the court to develop and improve fundamentals, including ball handling, shooting techniques and defensive skills. Coaches will lead players through a variety of drills and exciting games. Clinics are open to all skill levels. See schedule and register.

Grades 3-8. Hit the court to develop & improve fundamentals including ball handling, shooting techniques & defensive skills from a variety of drills and exciting games. Clinics are open to all skill levels. See schedule and register.
Summer Camp Season is Here! NCPRD offers a wide variety of affordable summer camps to keep children of all ages active, learning and having fun all summer long. Summer camps are for children ages 3 through 18, and are designed to inspire inquisitive minds, introduce new skills, and keep them moving. See schedules and register.

Please register at least ONE WEEK before class/activity start date.
In case of inclement weather, during in-person programs, contact the class facility before attending.
If minimum enrollment requirement is not met, the class or activity may be canceled and a refund or credit will be issued.

Are scholarships available for NCPRD Youth Programs? Yes, scholarships are available for NCPRD-sponsored or run programs, and for in-district residents only. Download the scholarship application here.
NCPRD Scholarship requests will be awarded or denied based on verifiable information provided by the applicant and the criteria established. Scholarships are granted or denied based on financial need as determined by NCPRD staff. Scholarships can be submitted by email to Kandi Ho at kandih@ncprd.com.
What if I want to pay with cash or check, instead of online with a credit card? If unable to register online, contact us at recreation@ncprd.com to arrange a time for cash/check payment.
