Media Release: Joint Statement on the Wichita Center

Posted on

6/6/2024

We are pleased to announce that today the administration and representatives of the North Clackamas Parks and Recreation District Board and the North Clackamas School District Board came to a tentative agreement on the terms of the sale of the Wichita Center Property. We believe these terms meet the needs of both organizations and, more importantly, will mean that we will be able to continue to offer valuable services to some of our most vulnerable members of the community at the Wichita Center without interruption.

Each team will share with their respective Boards at an upcoming public joint meeting in June. That date and location will be announced soon.

Trolley Trail Construction

Posted on

NCPRD, Clackamas County and other partners are working together to build the future Trolley Trail, a six-mile bike and pedestrian trail. It connects neighborhoods from downtown Milwaukie to the City of Gladstone and beyond.

The trail, beginning construction now(March 2011), will follow the historic streetcar right-of-way that ran in the area from 1893 until 1968. Construction is expected to be completed by late fall.

If you have questions or concerns, contact Pam Girtman (503-742-4353 or parks@co.clackamas.or.us) or check the website at www.hhpr.com/trolleytrail.

See you at the grand opening this fall!

New at the Milwaukie Center

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy. Various versions have evolved over the years, sometimes by accident, sometimes on purpose (injected humour and the like).
